Description

This Ardmore single malt was distilled back in 2008, before it was whacked into a cask for the ensuing decade. Finally, in April 2019 the whisky was independently bottled by Mossburn for the Vintage Casks series, without colouring or chillfiltration.

Nose

Salty bacon rises from the glass, with melted salted butter on fresh toast and a hint of milk chocolate.

Palate

Liquorice sweetness alongside vanilla sponge, candied ginger and toasted (if slightly burnt) fruitcake.

Finish

Roasted and salted almond with sourdough bread lingering on the finish.
