“There's a lot to like about this one. I read on Dramface the nose "Opens on dark fruit compote before moving into furniture polish, lemon curd, figs, leather and old books." I agree in the main but think it's more aromatic wood (oak of course) rather than furniture polish. Taste wise, the arrival is strong aromatic oak which quickly fades into a creamy, butterscotch and Demerara sugar. The finish is short to medium but leaves you with that gentle warm sweet creaminess. Heartily recommended”

The first single grain whisky in the Clydebuilt series, Clydebuilt Riveter encompasses a collection of fifteen casks sourced from a Lowland distillery, each one matured in bourbon barrels and selected by Ardgowan's master whisky maker, Max McFarlane.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose

Opens on dark fruit compote before moving into furniture polish, lemon curd, figs, leather, and old books.

Palate

Dry and moreish, with butterscotch, five spice, mint choc chip, and brown sugar.

Finish

Lingering, lovely, and very smooth, dries down slowly.
