Description
Ardbeg Trudernish joins the core range! The 15-year-old single malt Scotch whisky is a marriage of liquid aged in bourbon, new charred oak, and oloroso sherry casks, bottled at 48.8% rather than the typical 46% ABV.
It's pronounced as it is written – ‘Tru-dern-ish’ – and is named for the settlement of Trudernish, part of Islay’s ‘Enchanted Cape’. The Trudernish well is notoriously hard to find, in a thick copse* of wood. Ardbeg says, "Like a quest to the Enchanted Cape in search of the Trudernish well, this whisky takes you on a mysterious journey into hidden depths of smoky, creamy flavour". Groovy.
*A ‘copse of wood’ (or simply a copse) refers to a small group or thicket of trees.
