Ardbeg 24yo TBWC

Very yummy Ardbeg single malt, matured for 24 years before being bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! Indie Ardbeg bottlings are always an exciting thing to see, especially when they're particularly well-aged, like this one right here. The label sees Geert Bero, Ardbeg collector and proprietor of the legendary Ardbeg Bar at Hotel Bero, admiring the stills of Ardbeg...

Batch 16 is a release of 182 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Through smoked sea salt and rockpool notes comes old leather and sandalwood as well as black cherry, Refreshers sweeties and loads of vanilla softness. Thick lumps of fresh-dug peat provide an earthy smoke throughout.

Palate Beach bonfire, bitter woods, gentian and plenty of meaty chorizo and biltong are balanced beautifully against sweet black fruit, conference pears and plenty of buttery biscuit and rich nuttiness.

Finish A medicinal, menthol note lingers among charred smoke and cockles.

Overall Pure Ardbeg pleasure in every drop. Savour it.

A bargain at twice the price. Just kidding, this is completely mental!
For £725, I would expect a one-to-one tasting with Geert Bero to be included, culminating in a happy ending.
