Ardbeg Kildalton 2014 Bottling Note

Ardbeg! Yum yum yum yum yum... The limited edition Ardbeg Kildalton 2014 is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV with no chill-filtration. Fun fact! If the name Ardbeg Kildalton is familiar to you, it's because there have been previous Ardbeg whiskies with that name - a 1980 vintage and a 1981 vintage (they're a bit rare these days, though...). The name comes from the 1,200 year old Kildalton Cross on Islay.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed info and/or photos just get in touch!

Ardbeg Kildalton 2014 Reviews

Charitable kind giant!

Lovely how The smoke intertwines with sweet Pipe tobacco and subtle sweet licorice notes. Tar soap and lavendel. Oily and pleasantly mouthcoating. 92/100

Book Leather, Pipe Tobacco, Spicy

Smell: Menthol, old book leather Taste: Pipe Tobacco smoke and butter toffee. With a drop of water a peppery spiciness becomes slightly more prominent. Finish: toffee finish with leather lingering. Overall an interesting dram.
