Powerfully peaty and immensely satisfying, Ardbeg's Corryvreckan is what happens when the distillery of Islay's Kildalton Coast aims to make a whisky with a particularly medicinal style than its usual expressions. Aptly named after a nearby whirlpool, Corryvreckan is an intense dram that we simply love.
Sticking plasters, buttery, creamy, roast chicken crisps, herbal, almost a hint of pine…
Cream, spices, tingling, fresh fruit, medicinal, plasters, Clementines. Orange peels.
Salty, more medicinal, smoked meats, peat is fleeting, tarmac, chilli, salt.
Astonishing.

I love all Ardbeg scotches that I have tasted but this one is the best. Powerful and complex with rich smokey flavor. My favorite bar none
Laphroaig 10 turbo. Taste you'll never forget. Love it or hate it.
This tasted like eating the road. Why have you forsaken me, Master of Malt?
I found the depth and complexity of flavour incredible in this whisky. Just holding the glass below the nose gives a fantastic smokey peat aroma. I tasted with a drop of water and without and I actually preferred it without because I found that the water reduced the smokey peat flavours and aromas slightly.
The Best for me. A couple drops of water opens it up nicely. I always drink this dram with water. It is not a whisky for The novice. It is complex in flavour and hard to grip for some people. The best and I always keep a bottle at home.
