This, like all other Ardbeg's is simply stunning. Unless you have developed a plate for single malt Scottish whisky then tread very carefully.This is not a dram for the novice. But if you are getting into the more robust, complex drams out there then this will really grab you! All of the Islay whisky's are fantastic in my view, which is why I drink the stuff. And visit the island several times yearly. Its a beautiful, unspoilt island with very welcoming, friendly people. And I hope very little changes.Ever.
Wonderfully smoky, sweet with fruity understones which shine out when you add a drop of water
So complex, transforming taste. This is close to perfection to me.
amazing, sweet, smokey - DEFINITELY present are crazy bbq notes! but what actually surprised me more was just how sweet the sweetness is; and that without being cloying/saccharine. everything blended together in a most heavenly fashion. i will definitely purchase another bottle after i have explored more whiskies!
