Well then, this is pretty bloomin' awesome, isn't it? A 1.5 litre magnum bottle of 25 year old Ardbeg single malt, independently bottled by Hunter Laing for their Old & Rare range. The refill hogshead cask was filled by the distillery on the south coast of Islay in March 1991 and bottled in August 2016.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Salted liquorice, leather, vanilla custard and rich smoke.
Palate
Sticking plasters and tar, backed up by oak char and rounded citrus.
Finish
Notes of soot and sea air, cigar box, caramel.
