Ardbeg 14 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish (Darkness) 50cl Whisky

    Product details

Ardbeg 14 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish (Darkness)

A particularly fantastic release from the Darkness indie bottling range - it's a 14 year old single malt distilled by Ardbeg, finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask! Because they're smaller than your run-of-the-mill cask, these octave casks offer a greater surface area to volume ratio, and they impart oodles of sherried notes, which work very well with Ardbeg's characteristic salinity and smokiness.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Enjoyably earthy, with waves of coffee and juicy red apple sweetness.

    Palate

Bonfire embers, honey roasted nuts, redcurrants, Seville orange and meaty malt.

    Finish

Hints of charred oak remain up front on the finish.
