    Ardbeg 10 Year Old

A phenomenal whisky packing powerful peaty deliciousness, Ardbeg 10 Year Old is a favourite of many whisky lovers around the world. Produced on the Kildalton Coast of Islay, this single malt matures for a decade before being bottled without any chill-filtration. If you're after a whisky full of coastal air, smoke and more, this is exactly what you want.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

A ridge of vanilla leads to mountain of peat capped with citrus fruits and circled by clouds of sea spray.

    Palate

Sweet vanilla counterbalanced with lemon and lime followed by that surging Ardbeg smoke that we all know and love.

    Finish

Long and glorious; sea salted caramel and beach bonfire smoke.

    Overall

Precise balance, big smoke and non-chill filtered. This is why this is such a famous dram.

    Garbage

Reviews for Ardbeg 10 Year Old

This scotch gave me a hangover. It is NOT pure. Moreover, the taste is off. Yes it is smoky and full of peat, but it ends empty and hollow. Nonetheless, my major concern is my hangover. This dram is tainted yo!

A True Smoke n Spice Bomb

I love the Ardbeg range! Not only my favourite whisky range, but range of all alcohol products. This ten year old packs a deep smokey nose much like picking up the aromas of a campfire burning on the lot beside you. The body on the palette is medium to full bodied which you could tell from the beautiful legs running down the side of your favourite whisky glass. The finish is a long, lingering, peppery and oaky flavour that leaves you wanting more. And you wouldn't have guessed any of this by the deceiving but beautiful natural light golden colour of fantastic single malt. I love the Ardbeg Ten as it offers an experience that goes nearly unmatched - unless you are drinking Ardbeg specialty ranges like Uigaedail, Alligator, or Ardbog. 9 out of 10. A Couple other great whiskies that offer similar experiences are Laphroiag Quarter Cask and Caol Ila 12 Year Old.

    Smoke, smoke, and more smoke!

My usual drink is Glenmorangie... wanted to try this "peat and smoke" thing... not for me. Smelled like a watered down house fire, wrung out of a cotton towel into a bottle. Not my idea of fun....

    A Holiday Ruined

We went to Islay earlier in the year and it rained for the entire week. I would imagine their whisky is the same.

    Big peat
