Arbikie Single Malt Whisky - The Signature (First Release) 70cl

The Arbikie distillery has already firmly caught our attention with its field-to-bottle philosophy and its impressive Highland rye whisky, and now it's time to try its first single malt!

This whisky is made from Odyssey barley grown in the estate’s MB01 ‘Blue Bear’ field, sown and harvested in 2015. After slowly maturing under cool, humid east-coast maritime conditions, the crop was malted at nearby Glen Esk Maltings and fermented for a generous 96 hours before distillation in 2016. Matured for 10 years in six bourbon casks in a traditional west-facing dunnage warehouse, it boasts rich layers of brioche, oaken vanilla, and soft stone fruits, with creamy malt, floral citrus, and elegant minerality. A marvellous milestone after a decade of patience, provenance, and precision. A release of 1,000 bottles.
