    Single Malt

    Caperdonich 30 Years Old 1982 (cask 8778) - Directors' Cut (Douglas Laing)

    This is a 30 year old Single Malt Whisky from the closed distillery of Caperdonich. This has been bottled for Douglas Laing's Director's Cut range and is a stunning example of this lost distillery.

    Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Candied orange peel, mahogany and gentle spice on the nose, followed by cinnamon, nutmeg and a little peat smoke on the palate. The finish is long with hints of cacao and orange peel.

    @Cask?

    The whisky was matured in a refill butt, so yes, there is some sherry influence in there. Very well spotted! --The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Cask?

    Was this matured in a sherry cask? The color is a lot darker than other Caperdonichs I have seen or tasted.
