Wine Cask
Annandale Distillery has released a 2017 Vintage expression of its unpeated Man O'Words whisky! The cask for this one previously held French Burgundy wine for up to seven years, and then went through the STR (shaving, toasting, re-charring) process before it was seasoned with Oloroso sherry. Lots of caramelised barrel influence among the juicy fruit notes here.
Cinnamon butter and brown sugar, along with mace and syrup sponge with custard.
Spiced apple crumble with a buttery biscuit topping, leading into fresh berries and fig sweetness.
Creamy coconut lingers alongside bramble fruit.
