Something a little different from Annandale, this 2017 vintage of its peated Man O'Sword whisky spent its days in a single STR ex-Burgundy wine cask! After it was filled with the wine, the cask was shaved, toasted and re-charred, and then partially seasoned with Oloroso sherry before it was finally filled with the smoky spirit. A fruity, peaty, peppery delight!
Smoky cigar box and barbecued meat balanced by Bounty bar, cherry jam and frangipane.
Singed garden herbs and waves of aromatic peat smoke, along with oaky vanilla, more coconut and a crack of black pepper.
