This batch of peated single joins Annandale's Man O'Sword series. Distilled in 2015, the whisky matured in a single bourbon cask until it was bottled at a big, bold 58.2% ABV in 2023. A splendidly smoky Lowlander, layered with grilled tropical fruit and honeyed sweetness.
Grilled pineapple and dried lemon, mixed nuts, and vanilla custard, with a touch of polished oak furniture beneath.
Coastal peat smoke and oak char are joined by honeyed sweetness in time, with bursts of baking spice in tow.
Nutty layers of candied almonds and pecans, hints of herbaceous peat.
