A special limited edition bottling from anCnoc, this 35 year old bottling retains a youthful edge, although it has benefited from its time in the wood.
Baked fruit, especially apples and sultanas, with a soft citric sweetness like lemon curd. There's a slight woodiness, but this smells very young for a 35 year old.
More baked fruits, this time with cinnamon. A good apple crumble with custard, there are some biscuit notes too but the cinnamon and pepper leads towards the end, with the some gentle cedar wood.
Sweet dark chocolate and black pepper with a soft cinnamon note.
A still youthful and inviting 35 year old, this is nevertheless an dram with some depth.
Custard & Millionaire’s shortbread, vanilla & kumquats on the nose. Honey & light wood smoke on the palate. Finished with a flourish of oak & orange zest.

I thought this was made at the Knockdhu distillery, not Knockando as is stated in the "details" section. Still, what do I know? You're the "experts".
