A 2017 release from Amrut's Double Cask Indian single malt range. This time, they've combined whisky aged in a bourbon cask and a Port pipe (previous bottling from their Double cask series have been drawn from bourbon and Sherry casks).
Nose: Brown sugar and smoky bonfire embers. Sugared orange peels, white wine and raisins.
Palate: Enjoyably creamy, with notes of toffee, cinnamon bun and menthol.
Finish: Papaya, apple and another waft of hot peat.
