Fusion is a particularly apt name for this fantastic single malt whisky from Amrut. Y'see, it's made with barley grown in India, where the Amrut Distillery can be found, as well as peated barley from Scotland! Makes sense, right? Not just a clever name, it's also a cracking whisky, offering up generous helpings of fresh fruit, honey, spice and a good whiff of smoke.
Rich, barley, fruity. Big on citrus, spices, creamy sweetness. A hint of peat.
Oaky, rich, gentle peat, coffee, dark chocolate. Fruity.
Long, spiced, marmalade, sweetness.

I have drank a lot of single malt whiskeys and this is a top tier whiskey from Amrut. A creamy, peaty, smoky, spicy, fruity whiskey that has a very long finish of peat & sweetness. It simply lingers and dances on your palate, allowing you to enjoy the moment for just a bit longer. Thus, take your time between each tasting and savour those long finishes. If you want to feel the coffee & dark chocolate flavors, then drink this whiskey as you would drink any other single malt whiskey, i.e. NEAT. This whiskey does not need water to enhance its flavors, and it certainly does not need other impurities such as ice or soda. Coming back to Amrut, this is by far their best production of single malt whiskey and I will be gunning back for more bottles.
