    Single Malt

    Allt-á-Bhainne 24 Year Old 1997 (Thompson Bros.)

An indie Allt-á-Bhainne here from those Thompson Bros.! This one was distilled by Allt-á-Bhainne in 1997, aged in a single cask for 24 years, and bottled up with an outturn of 176 bottles. The label seems to feature a pile of those lemonade bottle sweeties you used to get back in the day. We wonder if that's a hint to the flavour profile, or if the Thompson Bros. just really like lemonade bottle sweeties and want to get everyone to remember how good they were.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Almond butter, sponge cake, a smidge of lemon, dusty oak furniture.

    Palate

Yep, definitely some lemon in here (and that's not autosuggestion from the label!). Well-rounded with vanilla and treacle to balance it out.

    Finish

Drying malt and a pinch of lavender.
