Undisclosed Speyside Distillery 29 Year Old 1992 (cask 4825) - Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker)
Forget UFOs, Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers series has whisky from a USD – Undisclosed Speyside Distillery. This expression was distilled in 1992 (in Speyside, no less!) and matured for 29 years, including a finishing period in a rye barrel. After that, it was bottled up at 46.9% ABV, with an outturn of just 274 bottles. Delicious, and mysterious.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Tangy citrus and green fruit, with underling nuttiness of oak and Brazil nut.
Palate
Full-bodied notes of pear, quince, and oily cedar, plus a few hints of toffee and hops.
Finish
Vanilla, red chilli flake, and brown bread.
