This single malt from indie bottlers Alistair Walker was distilled somewhere in the Speyside region in 1992, at an undisclosed distillery. It matured in a virgin oak barrel for a generous 30 years before being bottled as part of the Infrequent Flyers Collection. Just 276 bottles were produced, non-chill filtered and with natural colour. This is a well-aged whisky that ought to go down a treat with fans of the Speyside style.
Nose: Stewed orchard fruits, with toasted flour, floral honey, and baking spices.
Palate: Plenty of oaky vanilla, creamy porridge, amaretti biscuits, twists of waxy lemon peel, and zingy ginger.
Finish: Baking spices and warm oak.
