Description
Distilled at an undisclosed Speyside distillery in 1998, this single malt matured for 27 years, including a substantial finishing period of four years and 11 months in a single Chinquapin oak barrel. That unusually active American oak has given the mature spirit considerable weight, adding banana, marzipan, honeycomb, dark sugar, and peppery spice. Cask 802366 was bottled by Alistair Walker at a cask strength of 53.6% ABV, with 200 bottles released for the Infrequent Flyers collection.

Nose
Banana fritters drizzled with honey, marzipan, vanilla, toasted oak, and a touch of nutmeg.
Palate
Honeycomb, demerara sugar, almond paste, nutmeg, cracked pepper, and assertive oak spice.
Finish
Dark sugar, pepper, vanilla, and drying Chinquapin oak.
