Orkney 21 Year Old 1999 (cask 5743) - Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker)
A mystery single malt from Orkney, bottled up by Alistair Walker! Though we don't know which distillery it came from, we do know it was aged for 21 years, and finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon before being bottled up at cask strength. 674 bottles were produced for the Infrequent Flyers range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A big, bold nose of raisin, cinnamon, cookie dough and just a hint of rock pool salinity.
Palate
Cinnamon, sugary coffee and Seville orange. Again, there's a touch of salinity in there, and it's plenty malty too.
Finish
Chocolate spread and prunes.
