Strathcolm Extra Special (Alistair Forfar) Reviews

Whisky for vodka drinkers.

It is somewhere in between malt whisky and vodka. In fairness, this is the grain whisky that displays all the negative points of column distillation. It's light but harsh as well, strong whiff of rubbing alcohol on the nose. Finish slightly fruity, short but biting. I can use it as a mixer in vodka recipes. I am not a fan I'm afraid.
