
Romania’s first peated single malt whisky, this Carpathian expression was made with malted barley sourced from partners in Belgium, who had smoked it with Scottish peat imparting a phenol content of 35ppm. The whisky was matured for four years in select bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV. This is a single malt designed to appeal to those entering peated whisky as well as lovers of the style.
Delicate and lightly peated with notes of vanilla, caramel, butterscotch and candies.
Slightly medicinal but sweet with hints of peat & hot chillies.
Long, intense, and hot with a peaty lingering finish.
