
From Japan's White Oak distillery comes this 6 year old Akashi single malt. The whisky was initially aged for 5 years in Cognac casks, before being transferred to a first-fill red wine barrel for a final ten months. A fabulous after dinner whisky, which really shines alongside a square or two of dark chocolate.
Well rounded woody aromas and oodles of red fruits.
Structured and intense notes of dried red fruits, with citrus, tropical coconut and pineapple. A kick of ginger, pepper and cinnamon alongside pine, oak and tannins.
Balanced, fading fruity notes with lingering pepper and cedar wood.
