Single malt from Ailsa Craig, founded in 2007 with a capacity of 12,000,000 litres on the same site as Girvan. Several styles of malt whisky are produced there, from sweet and light to heavier and more sulphury (two stills have steel condenser rather than copper) as well as peated styles up to 50ppm.

Not nice Nose is damp, slightly dirty dishcloth. And then chemical. Palate - all I am getting is a stinging on the sides of the tongue. Finish - dry wood and chemicals again. I wouldn’t buy this one.

I received a free 30cl sample dram with a bottle of Somerset Apple Brandy my son purchased for me at Xmass. Nose Overpowering Chemical aroma, little or no peat. Palate Overpowering Sweetness drowning out other flavours. Finish None Would I buy it. NO Would I knowingly drink it NO Best used to disinfect your kitchen sink drain
I could mistake this for a cask strength Laphroaig, slightly on the sweeter side like a cousin of CS10 #7. What a belter. One for the sweet peat head.
Wasn't expecting a lowland whisky to be like that but was gladly surprised. I get some grassy, flowering sweetness on nose and palate as well as some meatiness which is what I didn't like very much. However, the rest is really good, would go with Islay though if you want some like that.
