Adnams 12 Year Old - Distiller's Choice
Adnams Distillery has reached a significant milestone: it has spirit old enough to bottle at 12 years old! The English whisky makers started distilling in October 2010 and laying down casks shortly afterward. In 2023, that whisky was old enough to bottle as its first-ever 12-year-old single malt, a veteran in the world of English whisky. Adnams 12 year Old was made with 100% East Anglian malted barley and was matured in bourbon casks before being bottled up at 51.2% ABV for the Distiller’s Choice range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Butterscotch, tropical fruit, nutmeg, marmalade, and toasty oak.
Palate
Banana, honey, ripe figs, toasted almonds, and black pepper.
Finish
Baking spice and toffee.
