Single cask blended malt, given the name Burnside (which may be familiar to some whisky aficionados...). This expression was aged for 18 years, from 1999 to 2018, before being bottled by Adelphi with an outturn of just 270 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Earthy smoke and oily barley are balanced by macadamia nut sweetness and toasted oatcake.
Palate
Resinous oak, blueberry muffins, fresh barley lead. Brown sugar develops with time and is paired with melon and poached pears.
Finish
A touch of clove and ginger lingers.
