An indie single malt from Adelphi here, distilled at an undisclosed distillery on an undisclosed Scottish island back in 2007. It was allowed to mature for 13 years, until being bottled at cask strength in 2020, producing 656 bottles as part of the Breath of the Isles series.
Freshly baked pain au raisin, with a cup of good coffee nearby. A hint of vegetal sweetness develops later on.
Stone fruit and rose petal jelly, followed by sea salt, earthy peat and cedar.
Chocolate digestive biscuits and lingering aromatic smoke.
