Sherry, Chocolate, and Heat
This scotch is almost indescribable. The first nose is of intense chocolate, then the rich sherry, with hints of caramel rolled in. The taste breaks across your tongue with almost unfathomable thickness, richness, till the detection of creme brûlée , or good ole Werther's Originals butterscotch. The heat comes strong and long with this cask-strength single malt. Finish comes off with a nice malted hue, almost beer. Adding some ice water opens this dram nicely, with candied dates and figs to the nose, amongst the sherry. Taste and finish are equally indescribable as the initial but with new qualities and flavors.
All in all, this is the most complex single malt in my collection to date. A wonderful experience and a highly enjoyable drink.

Christmas treat
After a sumptuous Christmas Day family dinner at our daughter & son-in-laws house in Dalkey in Dublin,our daughter-in-law produced a 'No batch' bottle of a'Bunadh. It wasn't just the treat of the night,it was the treat of the year. As somebody who appreciates a good Malt,I found this exceptional. Sadly the entire bottle died a very quick death but it was well worth it. The dinner which lasted for 6 hours will be remembered for many reasons but in particular for that bottle of Aberlour a'Bunadh. Ni bheidh a leithead aris an. Kevin C Murphy

Very complicated, and many layers. Nose: You could get lost in, forever. Then, an explosion of flavors hit the palette, huge Olorros sherry flavor, interlaced with toffee, caramels, coffee, burnt wood, salt, raisin and lots of spice, with long, warm and meaningful after taste. Powerful, cask strength upon the first sip, neat; but, I discovered it really transforms itself with that recommended ice cube into something really amazing, to mellow out and really open up with all those wonderful flavors that make this one of my all time favorites. A'Bunadh is a great whisky for the price, and I highly recommend it. 93.

What can I say.....exceptional and recommended to all. It was shipped to the US and it arrived a day early you guys are the best wouldn't get whisky from anywhere else !!!!

Batch 36 is absolutely fantastic! Each batch is different and vary, so be careful and do your research. Buying this Scotch can be a risk!
