It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! Each batch of this single malt is matured entirely in Spanish oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration.
Zesty notes of chocolate-coated orange wheels join sticky ginger loaf and sherried fruits.
Plump sultanas, prunes, cakey spice, and marmalade, with biscuity malt and toffee apple in tow.
Sweet spices and rich oak linger.
Drink neat with no ice and if you like a rich full flavoured whisky - this is the one for you. Disappointed but not surprised it has sold out.
I bought this whisky and it is one of the best. Have had! The flavours are amazing -it smells as good as it tastes and is a whisky I will buy again!
Not often at all do I give 5 stars. This was on offer (big bonus and proberly why I went for 5 start and not 4.5) What can I say? Imagine biting into an real big juicy Xmas cake. The drizzle, the sticky aroma of sherry, fruits, nuts giving this huge richness of flavours. This truly has deep flavours. Bravo. Honestly, if you l like sherry whiskys then this is spot on. Expensive yeah, but try get this on offer and thank me later.
lots of fruits and power here. needs a fair amount of water to make this a very good dram indeed. for me its probably down to 46% now but nice, rich, fruity and deep. lovely fruity, nutty cake is prominent but plenty of other things here to to find. struth
Coming from brighton we love our drink,. This batch is my favourite. No 63, although 60 was just as nice. highly recommended for beginners of scotch and the life long consumers of all whiskeys.. just be warned to beginners it packs a punch,.. what's powerful with flavours of true single malt. Adding a splash of water in a tasting glass really inhances its smells and taste. Price is something you have to suck up for the enjoyment of all whiskey flavours, delivery has always been fast and carefully packed.
