Aberlour 8 Year Old 2013 (cask 800855A) - The Single Cask
Sherried single malt from the Aberlour Distillery, independently bottled by The Single Cask. It was distilled in September 2013 and allowed to mature for eight years, including a stint in an Oloroso sherry quarter cask, before eventually being bottled in September 2021. Just 60 bottles were produced. Aberlour's single malt does particularly well with a sherried style to it, so we expect this one to be rather excellent indeed.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Raspberry jam, chocolate cake, a hint of sawdust and earthy oak.
Palate
Unsweetened coffee, clove, a little orange oil.
Finish
A long finish, packed with sherried richness.
