An indie Aberlour here, bottled by the fine folks at Càrn Mòr for their excellent Celebration of the Cask range. This is a 26 year old single malt from the Speyside-based distillery, matured in a single hogshead from October 1989 to July 2016. 225 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Nutty brown bread with a thick layer of marmalade, barley sugar, Toffee Crisp bars and Christmas spices.
Palate
Some intense tinned peach and milk chocolate sweetness, before waves of cigar box and old oak give it a decadent richness.
Finish
Spiced apple pie and vanilla ice cream! Yum!
