Ooh, an indie Aberlour! Don't see many of these, do you? This was bottled by Douglas Laing for the Xtra Old Particular range, drawn from a single Sherry butt which matured the whisky from November 1990 to November 2015. A release of 289 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lots of classic Sherried spice and sweetness, with plenty of focus on sugary, creamy treacle.
Palate
Develops touches of tobacco leaf and vanilla fudge alongside the classic Sherried spices.
Finish
Oaky warmth comes to the fore on the finish.
