A deliciously buttery Aberlour single malt Scotch whisky, aged for 23 years in a single hogshead cask. It was distilled in Speyside in September 1992 and bottled by us in February 2016, joining our Single Cask Series.
Caramel-forward, along with a touch of dark chocolate at its core. Ripe pear, redcurrant jam and blackberry leaf all play their part in the background.
Peanut brittle, apple and butter popcorn. Soon enough, there's big notes of hot cross bun with loads of sultanas thrown in the dough.
A long, buttery finish.

Just finished our bottle last night. Gonna miss it. I think that the tasting notes are spot on. We served this at a friends birthday party (in very small glasses :) ) with a German chocolate cake. A perfect match with the chocolate in the cake and the caramel and coconut frosting.
Not a huge fan
grows on you, this one. miles better than the sister cask, and wonderfully fruity.
