From the ace Aberlour distillery comes a 22 year old single cask single malt, distilled in November 1992, aged in a Sherry cask and bottled in April 2015. It was bottled by The Maltman, with 241 bottles produced.
A good core of Sherried malt, surrounded by touches of salted butter and fruit salad. A bit biscuit-y.
Pow! There's a good helping of Sherried spices as the palate opens. The fruit salad remains (lots of apple and melon in there), with a hint of cocoa powder.
Slight damp oak and tobacco on the finish.
