Aberlour 11 Year Old 2014 - Ace of Speys (Uncharted Whisky)
Indie bottler Uncharted Whisky presents this characterful Speyside single malt from Aberlour. Distilled in 2014, the whisky spent 11 years maturing in a pair of Spinola sherry barriques, bringing notes of tropical fruit, pear drops, butterscotch, and oaken spice. A release of 653 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Pear drops, dried mango, pineapple, butterscotch, oak, and a little dry note.
Palate
Baked apple, brown sugar, the dried mangoes again, and pineapple juice, and plenty of spice oak
Finish
Tropical fruits give way to butter scotch which gives way to woody spices and warmth.
