Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.

Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.

Good tasting malt, just lacking in character. This is the type of dram you would enjoy at a wedding or on an evening out with friends. I like to drink my whisky with a book, by the fire and to give the whisky my full attention when sipping. This whisky is 'nice' (dried fruit, smooth aftertaste, apricot/oak nose), just lacking in depth.
sure it's nothing special, but for £20 it's great! wouldn't compare it to a blend, everyone who has ought to try this alongside a cheap blend and think again!
Oh my lord. No better than Teacher's. Thankfully I was given it. Treating it as blended is the only thing to do with it. Terrible malt.
