Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Sweet and full. Sherried raisins, hints of toffee and a pleasant nuttiness.
Quite full-bodied, spicy rich fruitcake, toffee notes and a creamy malty-feel and the vaguest whisper of something akin to synthetic banana.
Caramel and honey, the malt still evident and the sweet spices still linger.
Lovely and rich.

Got a bottle of this before Xmas finished it over the festives It was my go to dram and I will be buying another bottle. Very drinkable and with a wee drop of water it just took the edge off and opened it up.

The Aberlour 10 year old is one of my perennial favourites. It's richness and smoothness make it a delight to drink.
The title says it all: smooth, nutty and with a hint of honey, this really is my favourite go-to!
