Aberlour
Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this is an older bottling of 10-year-old single malt from Aberlour. A perennial favourite, typical of the modern Speyside style and thoroughly approachable. Such is its popularity that this bottling has been exported to over fifty countries.

It has some sharp edge. Needs a spash of water.

Suprisingly great taste as I usually like glenfidich 18 yr old. I would to definitely purchase this fine scotch for half the cost of my prefence
As much as I try, I just can't get along with this one. I am a big fan of Aberlour as a distillery, but this misses the mark somehow. Compared to the brilliant A'bunadh and even the 12 year old, this tastes flat and makes for fairly uninteresting, if not difficult drinking (for me at least). Some reviews below mention batch variation; my experience contrasts so much with the more favourable reviews that I wonder if this could be a possibility. Perhaps a good introduction to single malts, but there are better choices available from Aberlour in my opinion.
