The Aberfeldy distillery is nestled in the foothills of the central Highlands, and has been in operation since it was founded in 1898. Matured for a generous 21 years, this single malt boasts classic Highland character with layers of heather honey, nutty malt, and zesty fruit, joined by a rich depth of dried fruits and delicate smoke.
Runny honey, dried fruits, and biscuity malt enlivened by a fresh, zesty quality, and notes of waxed citrus.
Silky vanilla and creamy oak lead to refined smoke, with notes of marzipan, candied orange, and floral fruit.
Ripe white peach, sultanas, and a good wave of honey, a smidge of wood smoke, backed up by caramelised almonds and a touch of toasted coconut.

Nice and smokey! A great nip to impress anyone with!
Smooth and a little sweet but no real nose and no finish. A drop or two of water opens up the oak on the finish but this isn't worth buying at any price, tho the deal at spec's is tempting if you don't want to drop the cash on something like The Balvenie 21y Portwood. Honestly, the Dewar's 12y was MUCH better and the same price. Lesson learned: "Don't buy scotch at discount prices; there's always a reason!"
Without a doubt the best scotch I have had up or on the rocks. My quest say it is the best they have tasted.
