A. Roborel De Climens Finition Sémillon
Distilled by Aymeric Roborel De Climens in France comes this glorious single malt, produced from 100% French barley. After initial maturation in French oak, the whisky was treated to a finishing period in ex-Sémillon barrels from sweet wine producer Château Doisy-Daëne imparting a complex array of candied fruit and rich malty oak.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A whiff of grilled peach, orange zest, and crushed nuts. Subtle peat smoke is apparent, amongst sweeter fruit notes.
Palate
Rich and mouthcoating, sweet, vinous character and bold malt combine with silky fruit notes and oily oak.
Finish
Plump sultanas and candied fruits, soft peat lingers with floral smoke and toasted oak spice.
