An aged 100% rye whiskey, following 1512 Spirits' excellent Barbershop Rye spirit. Master Distiller, Salvatore P. Cimino (who works at his barber shop by day) hand crafts these tremendous artisanal spirits personally in very small batches.
Sal continues a family tradition of distilling that dates back over a century with the 1512 Spirits range now receiving rave reviews from consumers and industry experts. Expect plenty of spice, vanilla, and brown sugar with notes of yeast and an overall clarity that only comes from true dedication and attention to detail.
We are currently unable to sell 1512 Spirits Aged Rye Whiskey (37.5cl) to your current shipping destination, but we've got some friends who can:
I wish I could still get one of these in San Francisco. This rye has a unique character that I absolutely adored.
Uh, no, reviewer above: Thomas Handy, when you can find it, is not $80-90. Even back in 2013... This stuff is very unique - very "chewy" for a [young] rye. Definitely not for someone just getting into rye (price/experience) but definitely a fun one for The Guy or Gal That's Had Everything. It'll be interesting to see where Cimino goes with his whiskies.
I'm pretty new to whiskey and rye but out of all the whiskey i've tried, this is one of my favourites. It taste like a piece of timber. In the most amazing way possible. I just wish it was a little cheaper considering the bottle is only 37. If i ever go to america, i will definitely be going to 1512 Barber shop.
cmon, 55 pounds for 37cl of rye! totally unjustifiable (same for the Hudson whiskeys). The T. Handy Sazerac (70cl!) in the USA cost 80 or 90$ and is surely much better of this...
