Sipsmith Vodka Bottling Note

Produced in the workshop previously used by the late, great Michael Jackson (whisky writer, not Moonwalker), this superb vodka is distilled from English Barley. Distilled in a marvellously compact pot still / column still combo. named Prudence, Sipsmith epitomises distilling on a truly artisinal scale. At the time of her installation, Prudence was the first copper pot still to be brought to life in London for over 200 years.

Tasting Note by the producer, courtesy of Ian Wisniewski

Sipsmith Barley Vodka is distilled from English barley spirit and cut from the very top of the‘heart’ run. The result is a genuinely handmade spirit which is deliciously smooth and buttery with an extraordinarily soft mouth feel.

Nose: Subtle but rounded nuttyness & barley notes, garnished by a hint of spice.

Palate: Elegant texture, gradually opens up with growing sweetness, while an underlying mellow barley note, light nuttyness & gentle, luscious spice emerge mid-way, together with sweetness balanced by underlying dryness.

Finish: Sweet-dry balance with nuttyness & a hint of pepper coming through.
