Seax Vodka from the English Spirits Distillery is an homage to the county of Essex. The base ingredient of this vodka is sugar beet, local to the area surrounding the distillery at Great Yeldham Hall. The label of course features the Essex coat of arms, which is made up of three Seax (say-axe), a type of Anglo Saxon sword.

I got this at a local market without much in the way of expectations. How wrong was I. None of the gain harshness you’d normally expect from grain vodka. It’s the only vodka that I have found that you can drink like a sipping spirit and didn’t I make the most of it. Smooth and very drinkable.
