Belsazar Vermouth is produced in Germany, using wines from the South Baden region, a selection of herbs (wormwood in particular being a stand-out ingredient for the team behind Belsazar) and fruit brandy produced by Schladerer. Their Red vermouth is superbly fruity, with oodles of red berry notes wafting through it, along with a good dose of spice and a classic bitter finish.
Nice tasting Vermouth that is well balanced for sweetness and bitterness. 3 stars as the it doesn't quite justify its price, doesn't taste better than £18-22 offerings.
