This blanco Tequila from Cascahuín is produced with 100% agave, crushed to extract its juices using a traditional stone Tahona wheel. It boasts a complex profile, with garden herbs, vibrant citrus zest, and robust, vegetal agave. Top stuff for sipping!
Notes of pressed mint leaves and lemon balm with bold, earthy cooked agave. Citrus zest leads to a gentle sweetness, aromatic peppercorns, and an enjoyable minerality.
great prudoct with great price
I agree with reviewer Dave B. both about the similarity to Fuenteseca Cosecha 2018 and the Mediterranean and olive notes. Complex and tasty. Overall it's a cracking blanco -- one of the best you can buy in the UK -- and so a bit of a bargain. Buy this real tequila and skip the big name brands full of marketing and additives. Also makes a brilliant margarita.
This reminds me of Fuenteseca Cosecha Blanco 2018 - minus the aforementioned’s curious but still pleasant rubbery scent; the flavour profile is decidedly leaning into savoury & umami flavour profiles over the more subdued vegetal sweetness of the natural agave. It’s almost like a tequila that took a Mediterranean holiday & somehow became almost subliminally infused with the flavours of sun dried olives & sea salt. I am really enjoying this & think it is punching above it’s weight for the price.
