This 100% agave tequila was born out of a desire to revive the work of the great historian and poet of the Mexican Revolution, Ricardo Grijalva de León and a character he created in 1947, Pancho Datos.
Pancho Datos Plata Tequila was crafted using Weber Tequilana Azul agave which was matured for eight years and then cooked in stone ovens for 48 hours. The agave syrup is then extracted with a train of roller mills and fermented. The spirit is then double distilled and bottled at 40% ABV.
Vegetable and herbal notes complement sweet vanilla and icing notes, as well as hints of toasted fruits.
As a photographer working within the spirit industry, I get to try thousands of spirits from all sorts of companies. Many of them are tasteless and created for a quick pay check, however with Pancho, you are getting nothing but incredible flavour, rich notes and insane quality for the price!
I have spent many years in the industry working in and managing bars and of all my years experience I must say that Pancho Datos plata tequila is a true winner as far as silver tequilas go. It is so incredibly smooth with beautiful herbal, slightly sweet and wonderful peppery notes making it very easy to sip alone. The incredible versatility of this tequila really does shine bright, it is a wonderful tequila to mix with. I cannot recommend Pancho Datos tequila highly enough!
This is a tequila with character which is so smooth. The agave and clear flavour allows for this tequila to be so easy to drink on its own or in a cocktail.
This is my second bottle of the plata now! What sets it apart from other tequilas for me is how smooth it is. Loving it with Franklin & Sons mixers and tonics and a load of ice. Perfect for the hot weather! ???
