This 100% agave tequila was born out of a desire to revive the work of the great historian and poet of the Mexican Revolution, Ricardo Grijalva de León and a character he created in 1947, Pancho Datos.
Pancho Datos Plata Tequila was crafted using Weber Tequilana Azul agave which was matured for eight years and then cooked in stone ovens for 48 hours. The agave syrup is then extracted with a train of roller mills and fermented. The spirit is then double distilled and bottled at 40% ABV.
Vegetable and herbal notes complement sweet vanilla and icing notes, as well as hints of toasted fruits.
Perfectly balanced in flavour with the classic tequila taste, and seems to work in every cocktail I have attempted with it. An absolutely must have in my drinks cupboard, I never run out!
This tequila is absolutely one the very best I've tried. The cocktails i created with it all came of smooth and delicious, mainly thanks to Pancho tequila due to its unique blend of flavors. Thank you Pancho tequila!
Saw Pancho Datos being raved about it on Instagram, tried it, loved it! Smooth refined earthy tequila, lovely with the Franklin’s pink grapefruit tonic and as a margarita.
Simply one of the best out there. I certainly take the herbal notes from this, which is quite a treat when paired in the now fashionable tequila & tonic. Super refreshing, clean flavours, and obviously a high quality product. One of my all time favourite spirits - same price range as some of the large brand leaders but with oodles more character!
Fabulous example of an un-aged tequila. Fresh, grassy, big vegetal agave flavours. If you're looking to explore tequila away from the shot-fodder, excellent starting point. Makes cracking margaritas or more adventurous tequila cocktails if you desire!
